About Kate Bailey:

Life, Leadership + Business Mentor. Confidence + Embodiment Coach. Neurodiversity Advocate. Podcast Host. Play Big Queen.

I help professionals, leaders, business owners and entrepreneurs with invisible disabilities and neurodivergent lived experiences shed self-doubt, reclaim their brilliance, and build a life they love and wildly profitable businesses on their terms.

My Mission:

I believe that women with invisible disabilities deserve to be fully supported, valued, and thriving. Through my signature coaching, courses, and Play Big Queen community, I empower women to boldly embody their Play Big Self and create sustainable success with confidence, clarity, and unapologetic self-trust.

My Story:

I know what it’s like to feel underestimated, stuck, or forced into smallness by systems that weren’t built for us. When I was younger, I tested as gifted but my invisible learning disabilities went undiagosed and unknown to me until my late 30’s. I went my whole life with my challenges minimized and invalidated. I pivoted professions and careers multiple times in search of work that wouldn’t bore me to death and my true purpose. I went to six different colleges and struggled to complete my Bachelor’s degree, knowing I was smart, but failing out all six times because being undiagnosed formally meant that I did not get access to the help and accommadations that I needed to thrive in school. This took a toll on my mental health and my self worth. As a late-diagnosed neurodivergent female entrepreneur, I’ve navigated the highs and lows of business, self-doubt, burnout, and transformation.

Now, not only have I discovered what truly works for me and I am back in college and thriving in my own business, and I’ve made it my mission to help brilliant, unconventional women step into their full power and build businesses that match their ambition without sacrificing their well-being.

My Qualifications:

Formally tested as gifted for pattern recognition and interpersonal and verbal communications. Experienced in crucial and crisis conversations. Studied at the Co-active Institute for Coaching.

I have created my own methods and curriculum as a result of having read hundreds of books and taken over 50 courses on the subject of coaching, somatics, mindset, emotional regulation and release, mental health, pleasure, neurodiversity, business, entrepreneurship, leadership, spirituality and manifestation.

I am knowledgable, nonjudgemental, able to give constructive, direct, and honest feedback, and I am the Queen of spinning whatever you are faced with into something you can handle.

I studied at The School of Womanly Arts with feminist author and icon Regena Thomashauer. I am a certified Sacred Embodiment Specialist from The School of Sacred Embodiment with Elizabeth Dialto. I’ve studied liberated movement, pole dance, archetype work, shadow work, the erotic arts, somatic processing techniques, breathwork, visualization meditations, creating intimacy and connection in community, cultural and ritual dances in the global context, and decolonized movement. I have taken hundreds of embodiment intensives, workshops and retreats as well as facilitated my own programs and experiences virtually and in person.

Experienced in mentoring hundreds of women in startups in NYC’s Silicon Alley in taking business from concept to establishing a product for market. Former small brick and mortar retail business owner.

DISCLAIMER: I am a mentor. I am NOT a therapist.

That being said, coaching can be a very transformative, alternative and supplemental healing modality that can be very therapeutic and a catalyst for major positive life changes. And although I am not a therapist (and never plan on becoming one) it is important to note that I am qualified to assess if you need to seek a therapist and I will advise you to seek a therapist if your needs extend beyond my scope of practice. I am trauma trained. I am well-versed on therapeutic modalities for neurodivergences and disabilities. I also have professional experience in multiple branches of healthcare.

I worked as a certified behavioral health therapist, a teacher’s aid for multi-disabled children, a clinical assistant in urgent care, a group facilitator for in-patient addiction recovery services, and I was a hazardous materials EMT. I was also an instructor at the New York City Fire Department and a professor for private health colleges in Florida.

In my healthcare career alone, I have trained over 15,000 students how to respond to mental health and behavioral health emergencies as well as trauma and medical emergencies. I’ve rendered care to well over 50,000 patients during my entire healthcare career and have seasoned clinical experience. I coached my students on self care and avoiding burnout for a very hard job in the fire service. I taught on life stage development and trauma. I know the difference clinically and practically between someone who is non-compliant vs someone who might be struggling because their sugar is off because they are diabetic.

Being able to discern the nuanced differences between trauma, mindset issues, medical conditions, invisible disabilities and in-born neurodivergent traits is extremely important when giving coaching feedback regarding goals.

Because of this specialized knowledge, my clients who have diagnoses like ADHD, Autism, Multiple Sclerosis, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Noonan Syndrome, Lupus, Endomietriosis, Fybromyalgia, Mood Disorders, Chronic Pain, PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Diabetes or AutoImmune Diseases for example, feel less pressure and more safe working with me because I understand the nature of the extra help they need and the extra labor they will encounter on the journey to their goals.

I am also someone who has the lived experience of being AuDHD. I am a multiply neurodivergent. I am keenly aware of the unique challenges of stepping into leadership or blazing your own trail. Also, I live in a racially blended family where everyone is neurodivergent. We confront, sometimes daily, the intersections of race, disability, neurodivergence, and the female experience.

I have created my own results-based mentoring methodology combining intuitive, transformative, embodied, functional, strength-based, compassionate, clinical experience-based, and neurodiverse and disability affirming coaching methods.

I identify as a true Spiritual Creatrix. I visually stim while I am doing other work by doing graphic design and I love the process of design, function and creation and apply it to every area of life and business.

My Personal Views:

In my communities, what makes you different is valuable, celebrated, honored and welcome. Intersectional identities including disabilities, neurodivergence, and religious beliefs are welcome in my world. I value radical transparency. My world views are influenced most by growing up in and around NYC, one of the most diverse cities in the world, studying journalism, business, entrepreneurship, embodiment, design, emergency medicine and social change, but also largely from being a gifted multiply neurodivergent woman in an ableist and patriarchal society. I believe in and support DEIA, Diversity Equity Inclusion and Accessibility, LGBTQIA+2S, Black Lives Matter, reculturization, decolonization, land back, reparations, anti-genocide, and food sovereignty initiatives and efforts. I believe that abortion is a necessary medical procedure that creates better healthcare systems, that guns kill, climate change is real, science and technology can be used for good, and that animals and our planet are in desperate need of compassion and healing.I am pro sex worker rights, pro Palestinian liberation, against Islamophobia, against Antisemitism and also against Zionist, Scientology or any cult-like religions that use beliefs as an excuse to indoctrinate people into abusive autocratic systems. I believe in the both/and paradigm and that nuance is critical to thinking in conscious ways. I am also spiritual but also again, very woo-practical. In this world, I also do not believe in ‘good’ or ‘evil’. I believe in healthy or sick. but I also believe that some people and systems are so sick that they cannot be cured and that is a kind of grief I grapple with often… sometimes daily. My beliefs are also pragmatic in nature, and I seek to make choices and take actions that meet the current reality and work to grow in big and healthy ways from there. I am always in service of humanity, learning, and growth, and big bold visions that seem impossible, until they aren't.

My Philosophies:

My philosophy in life is deeply rooted in bold authenticity, resilience and empowerment… especially for neurodivergent women and women with invisible disabilities who have been underestimated or conditioned to play small. I believe in rejecting fear-based conditioning and embracing your self-worth. I prioritize making decisions from a place of courageous love, abundance, and faith over fear or societal expectations. I practice Neurodiverse Affirming Leadership. I reject superficiality and “love and light” toxic positivity. Instead, I embrace truth, nuance, context and deep transformation, even when it is challenging. I see healing and growth as an embodied practice - one that requires courage, community, and commitment to long-term transformation. I advocate for autonomy, radical self-trust, listening to intuition and body intelligence, honor personal cycles of energy and defining success on one’s own terms. I believe in leaving a legacy and creating impact. I believe in building a future where neurodivergent women and women with invisible disabilities are valued, thriving and shaping the world through leadership, creativity, compassion and confidence. I reject competitive, scarcity-driven mindsets and favor uplifting others knowing that when one woman rises, we all rise. There are no hierarchies in my world. There is only rising together.
